DisasterLink

When disaster strikes China, Give2Asia’s network of local disaster response charities provides immediate relief and facilitates long-term recovery.

A curated team of experienced, local nonprofits

China—including mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong SAR—are all high-risk regions for natural disasters, each facing distinct yet significant threats. China experiences over 100 types of hazards—including floods, earthquakes, typhoons, and landslides—affecting every province, with more than 70% of cities located in vulnerable zones. Taiwan, while promoting green tourism and sustainability, is increasingly impacted by intensifying climate-related disasters linked to global warming. Similarly, Hong Kong’s dense population and island geography make it susceptible to typhoons and storm surges, despite its global prominence as a financial hub. Together, these regions highlight the urgent need for resilience in the face of escalating environmental risks.

In 2022 Give2Asia launched DisasterLink—a network that has grown to include more than 50 trusted partners across 30+ locations at high risk or vulnerability for natural disasters. Each pre-positioned member is highly invested in the areas they serve, enabling them to help communities rebuild and recover long after the immediate crisis is over. Give2Asia supports our DisasterLink network members by:
