Leadership
Birger Stamperdahl
President & CEO
Since 2014, Birger Stamperdahl serves as President & CEO of Give2Asia, the global leader in donor-advised grantmaking to China. Give2Asia operates a China Representative Office in Beijing, facilitating connections between private donors worldwide and China-based charities.
Additionally, Birger serves as the CEO of the Myriad Alliance, a global network of independent donor-advised not-for-profits committed to catalyzing cross-border giving. Members of the Myriad Alliance offer services that facilitate engagements between donors and local charitable programs across six continents. In his role, Birger focuses on expanding membership within the Alliance and fostering new collaborations among its members.
Birger also holds a position on the board of Myriad Australia, a member of the Myriad Alliance and prominent in linking private philanthropy in Australia with poverty alleviation efforts worldwide.
Recognized as a leading advocate for philanthropy that supports fully locally-led programs, Birger has spoken at prestigious venues such as Stanford PACS, the World Affairs Council, the U.S. Council on Foundations, the Asia Venture Philanthropy Network, the World Philanthropy Forum in China, the Conference Board, and Philanthropy Australia, among others.
Birger holds degrees in Journalism and Political Science from the University of New Hampshire.
Rick Schawelson 盛世豪
Director of Business Development
Rick Schawelson joins Give2Asia with over 38 years’ experience working throughout Asia with extensive concentration in China. In 1987, Rick cofounded one of the of the first foreign wholly owned factories in China manufacturing shoes and building it into the largest supplier of their category to K-Mart, Walmart and Payless shoes. Since selling his factory, My Schawelson has taken on many consulting roles including work with HSBC Global Asset Management to launch one of the most successful China funds launched in HSBC’s history. He was appointed as CEO of PCCWs e-commerce business after their purchase of Cable & Wireless, building and eventually integrating the business into the parent company. As an advisor to Global Sources, Rick advised key customers on buying and sourcing strategies with half of the 60 companies he advised generating over US$1 billion in revenue. Rick was the Hong Kong Chief Representative and remains on the Board of Galaxaco China Group, a boutique advisory and investment firm specializing in turnkey industrial projects for overseas investors in China. His latest role before moving back to the US was Managing Director of supply Chain at Amber Kinetics with responsibility for all aspects of the Asia Pacific Supply Chain Operations. Upon moving back to the USA he took on the role of President and COO of Santa Fe Farms whose mission is to create a sustainable alternatives to tree based pulp in paper, packing and other tree based materials.
Tan Jun 谭军
Chief Operating Officer, China 中国事务首席运营官
Tan Jun has 20 years of experience working in financial management, auditing, project investment and risk control. At Give2Asia, Tan Jun is responsible for project risk control, financial management of Give2Asia’s China Representative Office, communication with relevant government departments, and overseeing daily operations. He also maintains good relations with government departments, banks, and other authorities.
Anita Toy
Chief Representative, Myriad Australia
Anita Toy has over 15 years’ experience in corporate giving and private philanthropy. She joined Give2Asia (USA) in 2017 as a Country Advisor connecting international donors and philanthropists to charitable causes in Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining Give2Asia, Anita worked for the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group for 14 years where she managed the organisation’s community investment program across 32 countries and strategically partnered with charitable organisations to achieve social impact. Anita holds a Bachelor Degree in Business.

Li Xing 黎兴

Li Xing brings a wealth of experience from the energy, commodity and financial sectors to his role in Give2Asia. Previously, he was in the business sector and has been working in investment bank and trading companies for more than 15 years in organizations such as Deutsche Bank, BP and Mercuria Group in Beijing and Singapore. Li Xing holds a MBA from Durham Business School in the UK.

Minnie Yeung 楊小敏
Chief Representative, Give2Asia Foundation Ltd. (Hong Kong SAR PRC)
Minnie Yeung joined Give2Asia in 2019 to lead Give2Asia Foundation Limited in Hong Kong SAR PRC. Her role is to ensure that the Foundation serves the local community’s needs, working with donors, family foundations, major corporations, local partners, and networking with high net-worth individuals. Before joining Give2Asia, Minnie founded a successful media group. Minnie trained as a classical pianist at the Beijing Music Academy.

Yvette Camba
Philanthropy Associate
Yvette Camba manages Give2Asia’s Friends Fund program. She also provides administrative support, monitors and updates grant portfolios with Give2Asia grantees, and conducts research for business development and background checks for due diligence requirements.
Previously, Yvette worked at the International Finance Corporation working with both private and public sector projects. She then moved to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on policy and development programs in partnership with the Government of the Philippines. A nurse by profession, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from San Beda University Manila in 2011 and earned her professional license in the same year.
Tiffany Cao
Senior Philanthropy Advisor
Tiffany holds a Master's in International Education Development from University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford. Prior to Give2Asia, she worked in the private sector developing social impact partnerships. Her previous experiences include interning with UNICEF's Education and Nutrition sections in Timor-Leste and working with Bay Area education nonprofits.
Annly Duong
Grant Operations Manager
Annly helps donors achieve their international giving goals. She originally joined Give2Asia in May 2020 as the Office Administrator. Prior to joining Give2Asia, Annly worked in project management in the construction industry. She received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Jose State University.
Grace Harn
Philanthropy Associate
Grace holds an Honors Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Toronto. She initially joined Give2Asia in 2022 as an intern with the Friends Fund team. Her background experiences include healthcare administration in the primary care setting and project coordination in the medical biotechnology sector. In 2023, she went on a medical mission trip to Ukraine, collaborating with the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine to provide care for refugees and low-income families. Grace is fluent in English, Taiwanese, and Mandarin.
Allison Whitt
Marketing Manager
Allison is an accomplished marketing professional with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to develop impactful marketing strategies and drive business growth. She holds an MPA in Nonprofit Management from CSU Northridge and a BA in International Relations from Marymount Manhattan College.
Tang Luna 唐璐娜
Program Director, China 项目总监
Luna is responsible for managing G2A China programs on a wide range of program areas, providing donor stewardship and grant making related services, developing and delivering other advisory services, and providing support to the whole China team. Previously, she worked on business cooperation and project management in environmental and energy-saving industry and worked on business cooperation in a commercial trading company.
Cao Muhan 曹牧涵
Program Manager 项目经理
As a Program Manager in Give2Asia's China Representative Office, Cao Muhan is responsible for managing assigned programs/grants and supporting the China team. She previously worked as an associate financial manager in charge of accounting and tax management in a life-insurance company. Cao's experience includes managing general ledgers, carrying out internal and external financial reports, examining and verifying invoices for reimbursement, and assisting with financial analysis.
Nan Meiling 南美玲
Program Manager, China 项目经理
Meiling serves as a Program Manager's in Give2Asia's China Representative Office. Prior to joining Give2Asia, she worked in the education field and engaged in volunteer work in Sri Lanka, the U.K., and parts of China. Meiling holds a Masters in Education from University College London and a B.A. in English Linguistics from China University of Petroleum.
Mi Nan 糜楠
Senior Finance Manager & Risk Control Manager, China 高级财务经理&风控经理
Mi Nan joined Give2Asia’s Beijing Representative Office in 2018 as a financial manager. She is responsible for financial, tax and due diligence of the Beijing Representative Office, and monitors the whole process. Prior to joining the Beijing Representative Office, Mi Nan worked at the Galaxaco China Group Beijing office. This is a representative office of a wholly-owned US company in China that entered China in 1995 and invests in China for large global enterprises or investors. At the Beijing office, she conducted due diligence in the early stage, coordinated communication with government departments and banks, and supervised the project in the later stages.

George SyCip
Board Chairman, Give2Asia
Mr. SyCip advises a variety of companies in their cross-border endeavors between the US/Europe and Asia. Mr. SyCip assumed the role of Board Chairman in August 2016 after having served as a Board Director since 2005.
Prior to setting up his own offices, Mr. SyCip had a career in banking, including serving as CFO of United Savings Bank, a leading provider of banking services to California’s Asian communities and a major originator of home mortgages in the State. He currently sits on the corporate boards for Bank of the Orient in San Francisco, Cityland Development Corporation, Paxys, Inc., Premiere Horizon Alliance Corporation, Sinag Global Energy Corp., and Spence & Co. Ltd.
Mr. SyCip currently serves on the board of several international and Asia-focused nonprofits, including the International Institute for Rural Reconstruction in New York, Global Heritage Fund in San Francisco, and the US-Philippines Society in Washington DC. He has also served as Commissioner for the City and County of San Francisco’s Social Services Department. He was Director and Treasurer of the San Francisco Education Fund and the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library and served on Stanford University’s Institute for International Studies Advisory Board, as well as Grameen Foundation USA's Philippine Advisory Council.
Naren Agrawal
Vice Chair, Give2Asia
Dr. Agrawal is a professor in the Department of Operations and Management Information Systems, and has served on the faculty since 1992. Currently, he also serves as the Associate Dean of Faculty. He was a visiting professor at The Wharton School in 1999-2000 and 2000- 2001, and at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, in 2004. He has also worked as a Systems Analyst with Tata Consultancy Services in Bombay, India.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, B.H.U., India; M.S. in Management Science from the University of Texas at Dallas; and an M.A. and Ph. D. in Operations and Information Management from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Agrawal’s expertise is in the areas of supply chain management, service supply chain management, and manufacturing competitiveness. He is a co-editor of a book titled Retail Supply Chain Management and has contributed chapters in a number of books. He has published his research in journals such as Harvard Business Review, Interfaces, Operations Research, Naval Research Logistics, IIE Transactions, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Journal of Retailing, and Production and Operations Management. He serves on the editorial review board of Production and Operations Management and is an Associate Editor for MSOM.
Naren teaches courses in supply chain management and operations management in MBA and executive MBA programs. He has conducted numerous management development seminars internationally and consulted with companies in the retail and high-technology industries.
Dr. Agrawal has received a number of teaching awards including the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence (at Santa Clara University) every year since 1996, and the MBA Core Curriculum Teaching Award at The Wharton School. He is a twice recipient of the Breetwor Fellowship, which is awarded to tenured faculty members who have distinguished themselves as teaching scholars and are making notable service contributions to the School, the University, and the profession. He has also received numerous research grants from the Leavey School of Business and the Retail Management Institute.
He is a Research Faculty Associate of the Retail Workbench Research & Education Center, and a member of INFORMS.
Suzy Antounian
Board Member, Give2Asia
Suzy Antounian has over 20 years of nonprofit management experience, with a focus on strategic planning, program design, institutional development, partnership building and operations. Prior to becoming World Affairs’ COO in 2014, she was Senior Vice President overseeing the Global Philanthropy Forum and its regional affiliates. She also held the position of Vice President for Public Programs at World Affairs for 3 years, overseeing the more than 150 annual programs, its annual conference and weekly NPR program.
Sirkka Korpela
Board Member, Give2Asia
Sirkka Korpela, an engineer by training, is an accomplished diplomat, development professional and university lecturer. During her long career at the United Nations she achieved the rank of Ambassador. She also created and led the UN Development Programme’s Global Business Partnerships Program, which raises funds from corporations for local development projects throughout the world.
A Finnish national, Ms. Korpela has lived and worked in six Latin American countries (Mexico, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Peru, Bolivia and Chile), as well as the United States and China. These experiences have provided her with deep understanding of the different cultures and aspirations of peoples in all continents as well as the ability to provide a global perspective to local issues.
Passionate about helping build bridges across cultural differences and geopolitical viewpoints she has also shared her vast knowledge about development issues as a lecturer at Columbia University in New York, as well as at different Universities and Academia in Latin America, China and the Philippines.
She has also advised several global corporations on their community engagement and social programs. Ms. Korpela has served as Board Member of the International Institute for Rural Reconstruction.
Sirkka enjoys good food with diverse groups of friends, a good book by herself, or trekking on mountain trails in pure nature. Having lived in so many places has brought as many good memories and lasting friendships!
She was married to a Bolivian and has two daughters and four grandchildren. She graduated as Engineer from Technische Universitat Dresden (Germany) and is fluent in Finnish, Spanish and English, with good knowledge of German and basic Chinese. She loves travelling and putting her language abilities to test.
Raymond Leung
Board Member, Give2Asia
Dr. Raymond Leung serves as board member of Give2Asia U.S. and Chairman of Give2Asia Hong Kong which provides a broad platform for improving the quality of life of children in low-income areas in Asia. Dr. Leung has mentored more than 1,000 young graduate students over last 25 years; a number of whom have gone on to become leaders in their own right in advanced technology sectors in Hong Kong and China.
Dr. Raymond Leung received his engineering doctorate (EngD) from the City University of Hong Kong. He is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Altai Technologies Limited, which is a privately held high technology company focused on the design, development, and marketing of innovative outdoor wireless broadband solutions. The company is headquartered in Hong Kong with branches in Shenzhen, and Malaysia.
Dr. Leung also served as the Executive Vice President of Japan’s TDK Corporation, the first non-Japanese officer appointed to the position in its 85-year history. With his innovative thinking and business acumen, Dr. Leung created the company’s 2 most profitable business units and helped TDK to become the world's largest independent supplier of magnetic recording heads for hard disk drives and the world’s leading lithium polymer battery solution provider.
Dr. Leung is a council member of the City University of Hong Kong and was a council member of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was also an economic advisor for a number of cities in China and for the state of North Dakota in the United States. Dr. Leung served as a member of the 12th Dongguan Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. In the philanthropic arena, Raymond is the co-founder and Chairman of the One Laptop Per Child Asia Pacific Chapter.
Brieuc Van Damme
Board Member, Give2Asia
Since May 1, 2022, Brieuc Van Damme is the Managing Director of the King Baudouin Foundation (KBF). He holds a Master's Degree in Economics (UNamur, KU Leuven and College of Europe) and teaches health economics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Previously, he taught at the École Nationale d’Administration de Kinshasa, DR Congo. He also is the author of the book "The Grey Gold" (2010) and various reports, opinions and articles in scientific papers. Brieuc Van Damme was co-founder and president of the Groupe du Vendredi, a think tank of talented young Belgians, supported by the KBF. From 2011 to 2020 working with the Beglian government, he was successively Health Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Minister for Social Affairs and Public Health, and COVID-19 Advisor to the Prime Minister. During a break from 2017 to 2020 while living in Norway, Brieuc Van Damme founded consultancy Bære Craft Consulting which manages a portfolio of international clients. From December 2020 to January 2022 during the COVID crisis, he was Director General for Healthcare at Belgium’s National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI).
Jean Paul Warmoes
Board Member, Give2Asia
Mr. Warmoes is Executive Director of the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS), a U.S. public charity which facilitates thoughtful, effective giving to Europe and Africa. He joined KBFUS’ parent foundation—the King Baudouin Foundation—in 1994. Mr. Warmoes served as KBF’s Director for International Relations and as Secretary to its Africa Prize from 1996 to 2018.
Freda Lam Zietlow
Board Member, Give2Asia
Freda L. Zietlow, CFA, is an international investment and finance executive with over 20 years of institutional investment and private wealth management experience. She is currently Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Fiduciary Trust International. Prior to joining Fiduciary, Freda was Founder and Managing Principal of Peridot Capital Partners.
Freda earned her MBA in Finance and eCommerce from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and received her Master of Science in Real Estate from Columbia University. She graduated with high honors from the University of California-Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. She has held the Charter Financial Analyst designation since 2002.
Freda serves and has served on many non-profit and corporate boards. She is currently a Trustee and Investment Committee Chair of Give2Asia, an Endowment Committee and Board Director of Piedmont Council BSA and an active member of the Women Corporate Directors (WCD) Foundation. Freda was until recently an independent Director at Bank of the Orient, an international bank with offices in California, Hawaii, and China.
