REPORTS TO: Business Operations Manager



Give2Asia is a US public charity, which promotes and facilitates philanthropy to Asia (  Give2Asia’s grants are made from contributions and recommendations provided by donors using our personalized US-Asia giving services.

Under the general direction of the Business Operations Manager, the Office Administrator will be responsible for supporting the operational success of the office.  The Office Administrator must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to facilitating philanthropy in support of vital, sustainable communities in Asia.

Ideally, candidates for this role is extremely organized and able to prioritize and handle large number of requests.  Office administrator plays critical role supporting all staff as well as interacting with Give2Asia donors, partners, and general public.  Previous experience as an office administrator is a plus!


 Administration & Operations (70%)

  • Greet visitors and answer general inquiries via phone and e-mail or routes them to the appropriate department.
  • Process gifts and donations via Salesforce, and use Conga Mail Merge to create and send donor tax receipts and acknowledgment letters.
  • Support HR processes around annual reviews, new hire onboarding, and employee departure to ensure all required steps are completed on time.
  • Manage posting of open positions and internships for all departments and conduct initial screening of candidates as needed.
  • Schedule and organize in-office events and activities, including bi-weekly staff meetings, birthdays, and holidays.
  • Serve as the point person for mailing, shipping, purchasing office supplies, ordering business cards, and handling miscellaneous errands.
  • Support daily activities of staff, including maintaining files, contact lists and databases, providing logistical support and preparing materials for meetings, drafting donor communications, conducting research on individual and organizational prospects, and performing other general administrative duties as needed.
  • Prepare for quarterly board meetings: assemble board book and grants docket.
  • Participate in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the organization; identify and recommend productivity improvement opportunities.
  • Attend conferences, webinars, and engage in other learning activities in an effort to continually improve individual skills and Give2Asia’s programs and operations.
  • Stay abreast of all G2A programs, partners, and events.

Marketing (15%) 

  • Maintain and provide regular updates to Give2Asia’s website.
  • Participate in the creation of original multimedia content.
  • Use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other new media tools to engage audiences with high-quality content produced by Give2Asia and our partners.
  • Assist with drafting of e-newsletters, event announcements, and other emails to Give2Asia’s mailing lists.
  • Collaborate with staff to identify opportunities to increase visibility of our programs.

Programs (15%)

  • Create and edit web pages via Squarespace for new and existing Fiscal Sponsorship partners.
  • Generate and distribute the monthly Report on Reports, a report of overdue reports for our Field Advisors.
  • Generate and distribute weekly Board Polls, which includes coordinating with the Programs and FS teams regarding the items to appear on the poll, creating the poll and emailing it out, following up with poll approvers to ensure that we have the requisite number of approvals.
  • Assist managing monthly invoice and payment process for field advisors

Give2Asia is seeking a talented professional to lead all of its marketing and communications activities. If you are that person, you will join our team in Oakland to build Give2Asia’s brand and visibility with key U.S.-based audiences including corporations, corporate foundations, family donors, and private foundations, as well as our outreach to audiences in Asia.


As the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for shaping the marketing and communications strategy for Give2Asia, and implementing programs with support from other members of staff, and with further support from marketing interns. In the first three months, you will work closely with the President & CEO to develop messaging and a core platform for the overall program, along with meeting short-term goals. You will work to build this platform and meet Give2Asia’s longer-term marketing goals with your performance tracked against measurable 1-year and 3-year metrics.

Give2Asia has built a reputation of trust that is based on an existing network of thousands of vetted grant recipients and passionate donors. As a member of our team, you will be able to understand the story Give2Asia has to tell and communicate our story to various audiences using the most effective and appropriate tools.


Reports To: President & CEO, Give2Asia


You will work closely and in partnership with Give2Asia’s program, development, and finance staff, as well as the CEO and board directors.

  • • Set strategic goals and expectations within the organizations.
  • • Work with the program staff for contents, events and other activities that the program staff must contribute to in order for the marketing program to succeed.
  • • Coordinate and work in tandem with business development and fundraising efforts to align marketing with successful expansion of the organization.
  • • Work with the President & CEO, the Board Chairman, and other Board Directors to determine appropriate speaking, media and story-telling opportunities.
  • • Coordinate with the finance and operations team to ensure proper financial management of the marketing program, and to put in place operational improvements that can improve results.


As the Director of Marketing, you will be a visible representative of the organization, representing Give2Asia at public events, partnership meetings, and other external settings that may involve donors, partners, prospective clients, grantees, and other constituents.



You have a minimum of 10 years professional experience, with significant marketing and communications chops in the nonprofit, social investment, and/or financial sectors. You are a creative and visual story-teller with the following experience and qualifications, or their equivalent:

  • • Committed to and enthusiastic about the mission, services and impact of Give2Asia, and able to engage others to join as partners and clients of Give2Asia; an abiding interest in building a platform for effective philanthropy in Asia;
  • • Proven marketing and communications experience including strong writing skills, web and online marketing savvy, media relations capabilities, and the ability to guide spokespeople on staff and the board;
  • • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings;
  • • Prior management experience in a marketing and communications role;
  • • Outstanding communications and public speaking skills for both formal and extemporaneous presentations;
  • • Ability to be successful as a one-person team or with minimal additional human resources;
  • • Demonstrated success in building brand awareness; and
  • • Ability to effectively direct marketing activities to support business development.

Knowledge of and personal experience with philanthropic and nonprofit organizations working in the USA and Asia is a plus.

  • • Press Exposure: Creating a baseline program from ongoing press mentions, and a plan for expanding Give2Asia’s role as a thought leader in our market.
  • • External representation: Representing Give2Asia, leading meetings, and making presentations at philanthropic, industry and client events.

Summary of Position Expectations

The Account Associate is responsible for supporting donor stewardship activities, with an emphasis on Give2Asia’s major corporate donors. Primary responsibilities include providing wide-ranging assistance to Account Managers who manage relationships with Give2Asia’s corporate clients and serving as a center of knowledge around Give2Asia’s best practices in stewardship. The Corporate Associate must demonstrate attention to details, strong communication skills, and a strong ability to organize data and problem-solve; as well as a commitment to facilitating philanthropy in support of vital, sustainable communities in Asia.


  • Reports to: Corporate Account Managers of Asia-Based Clients
  • Internal: Interacts most closely with Give2Asia’s Programs Department, overseas Field Advisors in 25 different countries and locations in Asia, and other departments as needed within Give2Asia.
  • External: Interacts with Give2Asia grantees and donors.

  • The Account Associates role is to support the stewardship of major corporate donors, under the oversight of two Asia-based Account Managers. In cooperation with the relevant Account Managers, the Account Associate will be responsible for the following:
  • Stewardship of major clients
  • Perform administrative duties for each of the grants they are responsible for such as information warehousing, completing documents and grant entries, and creating distributions.
  • Ensure a high standard of quality for grant documents.
  • Review grant due diligence, proposals and report documentation of local Asia-based organizations as needed and in a timely manner
  • Upkeep grant making data on Salesforce and Box database
  • Serve as a back-up contact person for assigned major clients when Account Manager is unavailable Grant making support
  • Support program team to design and produce high-level as well as detailed grant making analyses, portfolio reports, and other documents adapted to the unique needs of each corporate client
  • Help assigned Account Manager respond to special requests from donors, as needed
  • Keep Account Manager informed of current events and developments related to and of interest to Give2Asia’s major clients
  • Provide support to Field Staff
  • Provide other research or content on current clients and grantees as requested by Business Development and Marketing staff


  • Optimize database use for client stewardship; other database management and data entry, as requested
  • Orient and train interns
  • Represent Give2Asia at philanthropic, industry, and/or client events on occasion

Give2Asia is seeking an intern to join the Marketing Team. Interns will create written and graphical content for Give2Asia’s digital presence to include social media, press releases, email campaigns, and web design. The ideal candidate is a university student with an interest in international development and basic familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects) or comfort learning new software.

This position will provide firsthand experience into the workings of an international nonprofit committed to empowering communities in the Asia Pacific, and the candidate should leave with strong hands-on insights into digital marketing and the development sector. Responsibilities typically expand to encompass the individual skills and passions that each candidate brings to the position. Creativity is encouraged!


  • Managing and strengthening engagement of social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Conducting research and writing compelling content for blog posts, social media, press releases, and other outlets as needed
  • Creating basic graphics using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and animations using Adobe AfterEffects. Training is provided for interns without previous experience using these softwares, making this a unique learning opportunity.
  • Providing updates to the website, supporting event planning, and other administrative tasks


  • Training with Adobe CS to produce original graphics and creative animated content (Illustrator, AfterEffects, InDesign)
  • Managing social media platforms and blog of an international nonprofit, with focused guidance on writing and editing
  • Conducting firsthand interviews with staff in Asia to create blog posts
  • Opportunity to conduct research and produce outward-facing content on current issues in Asia, including topics such as: disaster preparedness, women’s empowerment, livelihood trainings, public health, education, and environmental conservation
  • Data analysis to optimize content including Google Adwords, email campaigns, social media posts, and donor engagement
  • Familiarity with nonprofit sector in the Asia Pacific, including networking opportunities with staff and Field Advisors across the region


This position is an opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience working for an international NGO focused on development in the Asia Pacific region. The ideal candidates have a degree or are working towards a degree, and have a demonstrated interest in fields such as marketing/communications, international development, Asian studies, journalism, event planning, and/or design. Candidates should have professional writing ability and some experience in research, digital media, internet fluency. Basic familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite is strongly desired but not necessary.

Interns are expected to work three days per week (roughly 20 hours/week) for an approximately three-month period. There is flexibility as to hours and days worked, and remote work from Berkeley is also possible. The intern will work directly under the Senior Marketing Associate.

Unfortunately, for this position we are not able to offer pay but we do provide a stipend for meals and transportation. If there are opportunities to fulfill university credit for this position then we will gladly pursue them.
