TPCA Environment Foundation

TPCA Environment Foundation (TPCF) was established to facilitate more industry partners to take an active role in caring for the environment. Through delivering environmental education programs, we hope to sow the seeds for a greener future through educating young people on awareness of creating an environment, society, and economy that is safer, greener, and more sustainable.

Our programs can be summarized as:

1. ECO Experts Talk on Campus

Proposed by local environmental education institutions in line with TPCF’s program objectives, after review and accreditation by TPCF, the courses will be announced through official channels, and schools can enroll the topic of their choice free of charge. Lecturers will be arranged to travel and conduct the course at school.

Every year they conduct 600 ECO Experts Talks on Campus throughout Taiwan and corporates with around 65 experts, each representing a unique course. TPCF also host National Environmental Reflection Awards for students who attended the talk. Over 20,000 students has shared their reflective writings or drawings and indicated what impact this talk brought to them.

2. Technology in Life

In order to put together an integrative curriculum, TPCF work closely with professional organizations in technology trend, circular economy and human resources. This curriculum helps students to adapt systemic thinking regarding the issue of technology advances, environment sustainability, and their future career. Almost 2,000 students has attended this course and indicate that this course helped them to think from a different perspective and integrate their knowledge in different fields.

TPCF recruit corporate volunteers and train them to become lecturers and lecturers will travel to and teach at the schools. Courses will be provided free of charge to schools.

3. Taiwan Green Maker Awards

Launched in 2018, Taiwan Green Maker Awards encourages college students to propose Innovative ideas that will make positive impact in environment, society, and economy. As long as the idea is based on environmental sustainability and circular economy, it can be a production, manufacturing process improvement, or business model.

TPCF have received a total of 171 green ideas and more than 300 students has participated in this campaign. In addition to provide the platform for students to publish, TPCF aims to appeal companies to invest in bringing up talent for greener future.
