Students from top schools like Peking University volunteer to teach courses that enhance beneficiaries’ capabilities. Professors and teachers from these schools advise and mentor students throughout the program.
Early November 2023 will mark the start of prorgam workshop and teacher training in Beijing, empowering principals and leading teachers at program schools through expert lectures and exchange sessions.
In upcoming winter vacation and summer vacations, volunteer mentors and leading supervisors will be invited to the program schools to hold lectures and have deeper communication with the program students.
The program plans to launch a “Tomorrow Scholar” activity, which will invite 20-25 program beneficiaries currently enrolled at their dream universities to participate in an exchange trip to Hong Kong SAR for 5 to 6 days to broaden their horizons.
Students accepted into the program will receive a scholarship that grows as they continue to succeed:
2023: The year 2023 marked a significant achievement for the Program, with 709 students taking the National College Entrance Examination. Among them, 529 students surpassed the admission score for first-tier universities, boasting an impressive 86% passing rate. Notably, 315 out of 389 high school graduates supported by Give2Asia also achieved scores meeting the criteria for entry into first-tier universities. A remarkable 73 of these successful candidates secured enrollment in prestigious institutions like Peking University and Tsinghua University. These accomplishments are especially noteworthy as all of these students are trailblazers in their families, being the first generation to attend college, promising a transformative future for them.
2022: The 2022 Fall semester witnessed the expansion of the program to accommodate 1400 students across 47 high schools spanning Henan, Xinjiang, and Gansu, four provinces.
2021: The journey of the Tomorrow-iCAN Program began in the Fall semester of 2021, benefiting 630 students across 23 high schools in Henan province and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
