As Give2Asia celebrates 25 years of impact, new collaborations in AI education and sustainable agriculture point toward the next chapter of cross-border philanthropy.
In September, Give2Asia brought together longtime partners, supporters, and philanthropic leaders in Beijing to celebrate a significant milestone: 25 years of connecting international philanthropy with communities across China.
Held on September 14, the event was an opportunity to reflect on the relationships, shared achievements, and local expertise that have shaped our work since 2001. But just as importantly, it was an occasion to look ahead.
As part of this milestone, Give2Asia is pleased to announce two new partnerships with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation (CAPIAC). Together, these collaborations reflect our commitment to addressing emerging challenges, strengthening local capacity, and connecting philanthropic investment with opportunities for lasting impact.
Initiative for Youth AI Citizenship Literacy
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping how people learn, work, and participate in society. As these technologies become increasingly integrated into everyday life, ensuring that young people have the knowledge and skills to use them effectively is an important part of building a more inclusive future.
Through our new partnership with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Give2Asia will support efforts to help young people develop the skills and confidence to engage with AI tools responsibly and effectively.
The goal is not simply to introduce new technology, but to help ensure that technological advances expand opportunity rather than deepen existing divides.
For Give2Asia, this partnership represents an investment in the next generation. By supporting education and practical skills development, we can help young people prepare for a changing world and participate more fully in the opportunities that emerging technologies create.
Initiative for Sustainable Agricultural and Ranch Ecosystem Development
The future of global food systems is another area where developments in China carry significance far beyond its borders.
As home to one of the world’s largest agricultural sectors, China has an important role to play in shaping more sustainable approaches to food production, responsible resource use, and animal welfare.
Give2Asia’s new partnership with the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation (CAPIAC) will focus on advancing sustainable agricultural and ranch ecosystem.
By supporting the exchange of knowledge and the adoption of more responsible agricultural approaches, this collaboration seeks to contribute to a sustainable agricultural development that better balances human needs, environmental sustainability, and animal welfare.
These challenges are inherently global. Progress toward more sustainable agricultural practices in China has the potential to generate valuable lessons and benefits for communities, industries, and food systems around the world.
Local Partnerships, Global Significance
Although these new partnerships address different sectors, they share a common foundation: meaningful progress on complex challenges requires trusted local relationships, specialized knowledge, and sustained collaboration.
They also reflect an important reality of modern philanthropy. Challenges such as technological inclusion, climate change, and food security do not stop at national borders. Neither should the exchange of ideas, expertise, and resources needed to address them.
For 25 years, Give2Asia has helped international donors engage with charitable organizations and community-led initiatives across China. Our role has evolved alongside the needs of the communities we serve, but our guiding principle remains unchanged: effective philanthropy begins with local knowledge and strong partnerships.
These new collaborations demonstrate how that approach can help connect international philanthropic resources with opportunities to address issues of broader global significance.
Celebrating 25 Years. Building What’s Next.
Our anniversary reception in Beijing was a celebration of the people and partnerships that have made Give2Asia’s first 25 years possible. It was also a reminder that our work is
continually evolving.
As we look toward the next chapter, we see opportunities to deepen existing relationships, develop new approaches to philanthropy, and support initiatives that respond to both longstanding needs and emerging challenges.
Our new partnerships with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and CAPIAC are important steps in that direction.
As we continue our 25th anniversary celebrations through our Building What’s Next campaign, we invite our supporters to look ahead with us—to the next generation of leaders, more sustainable communities, and new possibilities for collaboration.
Because the most meaningful way to celebrate 25 years of impact is to help build what comes next.
