Give2Asia is an international philanthropy nonprofit based in Oakland, CA. Our mission is to strengthen communities in Asia by making overseas giving easier and more effective. Since 2001, Give2Asia has facilitated more than $465 million of charitable grants across 23 countries.

About the Position

We are seeking a part-time, fully-remote Marketing Communication intern. In this role, you will work on projects such as:

  • Adding/updating resources and blog posts on our website
  • Publishing content for the charities we support on fundraising platforms
  • Researching and/or writing case studies on programs we funded

The internship will start in June 2022. The time commitment is flexible based on the selected intern’s preferences: from 8-20 hours per week for 2-3 months.

This is a volunteer position with a small stipend available for meals.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our Director of Marketing and international staff. You will also gain experience working in a fully-remote professional environment.

About You

The ideal candidate for this internship is a student or recent graduate who is 1) interested in pursuing communications or marketing as a career, and 2) passionate about international development, philanthropy, and/or nonprofit management.

Required qualifications:

  • Strong written English communication skills
  • Able to manage your time and complete projects with limited supervision
  • Able to work 10 hours/week for at least 2 months
  • Some availability during PDT business hours for check-in calls

Bonus qualifications:

  • Journalism or blogging experience
  • Nonprofit experience (fundraising, volunteer, internships)
  • Proficiency in a language natively spoken in Asia
  • Familiarity with WordPress
