King Baudouin Foundation United States and Give2Asia Join Forces in Myriad USA to Advance Informed, Effective Giving Across the Globe

Myriad USA will Harness the Expertise and Networks of Two Leading Philanthropy Advisors and Provide a Streamlined Solution for Giving Overseas, Anywhere Around the World; Give2Asia Will Focus on its Unparalleled Expertise in Charitable Giving for China.

January 11, 2024Today, the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS) and Give2Asia announced that they are expanding their long-standing partnership to better serve the global philanthropy sector. KBFUS has rebranded itself as Myriad USA and now offers a new, single solution to donors seeking to support nonprofit initiatives around the world. Myriad USA brings together the geographic footprints, networks, and relationships of the two longtime partners, thus enabling donors to expand their reach and increase their impact. Give2Asia maintains its brand and refocuses its work on philanthropic services for China, where it continues to serve as the leader in a rapidly developing market.

Myriad USA – A Single Platform for Giving Across the Globe

Myriad USA fills a missing gap in the philanthropic landscape. “Donors with global interests want a knowledgeable, one-stop-shop for all their international giving, regardless of geographic location,” says Jean Paul Warmoes, CEO of Myriad USA. “Myriad USA fills this gap. We combine local expertise with a global reach and provide donors with a simple and efficient platform to support their favorite causes across the globe.”

Whether individuals, corporations, or foundations, donors can turn to Myriad USA for the same personalized support and services previously offered by KBFUS and Give2Asia, but across a single platform. Myriad USA will also continue to provide foreign nonprofits with cost-effective solutions to receive tax-deductible gifts from U.S.-based donors.

Myriad USA harnesses the complementary capabilities and expertise of KBFUS and Give2Asia, which in the past three years have facilitated a combined $400 million in grants to foreign nonprofits. It also inherits the mission they share: to help strengthen institutions, empower communities, and improve the lives of people around the world.

With offices in New York City, KBFUS’s focus has been Europe, Africa, and Latin America, serving mainly individual donors and family foundations. San Francisco-based Give2Asia has focused on Asia, the Pacific, and the Middle East, with a strong track record in serving corporate donors and implementing disaster response campaigns. Myriad USA will leverage this combined local expertise to provide the philanthropic community with a bespoke global offering.

Myriad USA’s senior management team includes: Jean Paul Warmoes (previously at KBFUS) as Myriad USA’s CEO; Sheena Agarwal (previously at Give2Asia) as its Chief Partnerships Officer; and Ellena Fotinatos (previously at KBFUS) as Myriad USA’s COO.

Give2Asia – Bespoke Philanthropy Services for China

Give2Asia will refocus its efforts and strengthen its position as the leader in philanthropy services to China, serving as a bridge to local communities. Give2Asia will continue to build on its specialized teams in Beijing and Hong Kong SAR, and its vast track record of delivering highly reliable, bespoke services for grantmaking that create trusted charitable partnerships. Over the past few years, Give2Asia has granted an average of $20 million a year to over 60 local organizations in China.

“Exciting grantmaking opportunities are opening up in China, and with 20 years spent building experienced teams in Beijing and Hong Kong and strong charitable partnerships in China, Give2Asia can help donors to leverage these opportunities,” says Birger Stamperdahl, who remains CEO of Give2Asia. “Over the coming decade, China is poised to play a major role in global philanthropy, and we are excited to be part of developing that work.”

With Give2Asia Foundation HKSAR, Give2Asia will also continue to support charitable investments for Hong Kong SAR, as well as other parts of China and across the world. The foundation delivers professional philanthropic services, such as Hong Kong-based Donor Advised Funds and Corporate Advisory Services, that are helping to expand the capabilities of Asia’s cross-border donors.

Give2Asia’s senior management team includes: Birger Stamperdahl as CEO; Carol Yang as China Chief Representative in Beijing; Minnie Yeung as Chief Representative for Give2Asia Foundation Hong Kong SAR; and Li Xing as CEO for China.
