Minnie Yeung 楊小敏

Chief Representative, Give2Asia Foundation HKSAR

Minnie Yeung joined Give2Asia in 2019 to lead Hong Kong Give2Asia Foundation Limited. Her role is to ensure that the Foundation serves the local community’s needs, working with donors, family foundations, major corporations, local partners, and networking with high net-worth individuals. Before joining Give2Asia, Minnie founded a successful media group. Minnie trained as a classical pianist at the Beijing Music Academy.

Stephanie Yeung 楊雪儀

Senior Business Development Manager

Stephanie Yeung credentials include a Bachelor of Social Science and a Master of Business Administration from Hong Kong Metropolitan University and a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Before joining G2A, she gained extensive experience in the SME sector, working in sales and factory operations for over 20 years. Stephanie's career change led her to the family philanthropy sector, focusing on SEN and ageing populations. Her research area, social entrepreneurship, is a personal and professional passion, as she believes in using business principles to drive positive social change and impact the communities she serves.

Birger Stamperdahl joined Give2Asia (USA) in 2006 and has served as its President & CEO since 2014. Birger works directly with donors, foundations, and corporations seeking to build strategic charitable partnerships across the Asia-Pacific.  As a leading advocate for locally-led philanthropy, Birger has spoken to audiences at Stanford PACS, the World Affairs Council, the Council on Foundations, the Asia Venture Philanthropy Network, and the Conference Board.

Prior to joining Give2Asia, Birger had a successful PR career in Silicon Valley. As a Vice President at Porter Novelli, a global marketing and communications firm, he advised such clients as HP, EMC, McAfee, and BMC. Birger holds degrees in Journalism and Political Science from the University of New Hampshire.

Raymond Leung 梁少康

Board Chairman

Dr. Raymond Leung serves as board member of Give2Asia U.S. and Chairman of Give2Asia Hong Kong which provides a broad platform for improving the quality of life of children in low-income areas in Asia. Dr. Leung has mentored more than 1,000 young graduate students over last 25 years; a number of whom have gone on to become leaders in their own right in advanced technology sectors in Hong Kong and China.

Dr. Raymond Leung received his engineering doctorate (EngD) from the City University of Hong Kong. He is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Altai Technologies Limited, which is a privately held high technology company focused on the design, development, and marketing of innovative outdoor wireless broadband solutions. The company is headquartered in Hong Kong with branches in Shenzhen, and Malaysia.

Dr. Leung also served as the Executive Vice President of Japan’s TDK Corporation, the first non-Japanese officer appointed to the position in its 85-year history. With his innovative thinking and business acumen, Dr. Leung created the company’s 2 most profitable business units and helped TDK to become the world's largest independent supplier of magnetic recording heads for hard disk drives and the world’s leading lithium polymer battery solution provider.

Dr. Leung is a council member of the City University of Hong Kong and was a council member of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was also an economic advisor for a number of cities in China and for the state of North Dakota in the United States. Dr. Leung served as a member of the 12th Dongguan Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. In the philanthropic arena, Raymond is the co-founder and Chairman of the One Laptop Per Child Asia Pacific Chapter.

Nick Chan 陳曉峰

Board Member

Nick Chan is a Partner at Squire Patton Boggs, a top ten most global law firm with 45 offices in 20 countries where he serves as Partner (since 2004) with practice group responsibility for Asia Pacific region. Mr. Chan served in-house at two Fortune 100 technology companies AT&T and Cisco Systems where he had regional responsibilities. He serves on the Council of FuHong Society, an NGO focused in helping intellectually disabled people to live with dignity and as an integral part of our community. He is the Honorary Legal Advisor of Origin Charity Foundation which has funded and supported the establishment of many schools in rural Mainland China. He is the Convenor of Tech Response to COVID-19, an NGO focused to use technology to empower ordinary people to control the spread of COVID-19, and to reduce the workload of healthcare workers. Mr. Chan serves on the Hospital Governing Committee of two hospitals in Hong Kong.

Mr. Chan also serves on the DIT committee, Belt and Road committee and as Vice Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Chan is the Chairman of eBRAM International Online Disputes Resolution Centre, a joint community LawTech effort to provide better and more cost-efficient access to justice by adopting and deploying the latest technology and solid legal knowledge. Mr. Chan devotes a lot of time to advance the Rule of Law, innovation, technology, education and the broader community, serving as Legal Aid Services Council member, previously as Law Society Council Member and still Vice Chairman of InnoTech Committee and Belt and Road Committee, as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Council Member, Chairman of Knowledge Transfer Committee and IPO Industrial Fellowship Enrichment Program Fellow, and as Chairman and committee member for several Hong Kong Government appeal boards, as committee member serving on academic boards at CityU and HKU, and serves on the Entrepreneurship Programme Management Committee for PolyU. Nick also serves as advisory committee member of the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Venture Fund. Nick publishes widely and is a columnist with a weekly column in a leading newspaper Headline News (頭條日報) to help share legally related information with the public.

Mr. Chan is an elected Hong Kong deputy to the 13th National People's Congress of the People’s Republic of China.

Professor Pak-chung Ching received the B. Eng. (1st Class Honors) and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Liverpool, UK, in 1977 and 1981 respectively. Since 1984, he has been with the Department of Electronic Engineering of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where he is currently Research Professor. From 2006 till end of 2014, Prof. Ching was appointed as Pro-Vice-Chancellor/ Vice-President of CUHK. Between 2013 to 2014, Prof. Ching also took up the Directorship of the CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute. Prof. Ching is very active in promoting professional activities, both in Hong Kong and overseas.

In addition to his academic work, Prof. Ching also plays an active role in community services. He was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) and the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by the HKSAR Government in 2017 and 2010, respectively, in recognition of his long and distinguished public and community services. He is presently Chairman of the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Hong Kong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited, Council Member of the Shaw Prize Foundation, as well as a Member of the Museum Advisory Committee (MAC) and the Chairperson of its Science Sub-committee. He was President of Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences from 2018 to 2020, Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification from 2009 to 2015, Member of the Steering/Advisory Committee on Innovation and Technology from 2010 to 2017, Board Member of The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Ltd. (ASTRI) from 2012 to 2018 and Director of the Hong Kong R&D Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Enabling Technologies from 2006 to 2014.

He was also Member of The Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council from 2012 to 2013, Panel Member of the Research Grant Council from 2005 to 2010, Member of the Governing Council of the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency from 2005 to 2009, Member of the Copyright Tribunal from 2003 to 2009, Member of Electrical Safety Advisory Committee of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department from 2002 to 2008, Member of the Consumer Council from 2001 to 2006 and Chairman of the Hong Kong Accreditation Advisory Board from 2000 to 2005. Prof. Ching is also a Guest Professor at Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Southeast University and Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

George SyCip 薛希璞

Board Member

Mr. SyCip advises a variety of companies in their cross-border endeavors between the US/Europe and Asia. Mr. SyCip assumed the role of Board Chairman in August 2016 after having served as a Board Director since 2005.

Prior to setting up his own offices, Mr. SyCip had a career in banking, including serving as CFO of United Savings Bank, a leading provider of banking services to California’s Asian communities and a major originator of home mortgages in the State. He currently sits on the corporate boards for Bank of the Orient in San Francisco, Cityland Development Corporation, Paxys, Inc., Premiere Horizon Alliance Corporation, Sinag Global Energy Corp., and Spence & Co. Ltd.

Mr. SyCip currently serves on the board of several international and Asia-focused nonprofits, including the International Institute for Rural Reconstruction in New York, Global Heritage Fund in San Francisco, and the US-Philippines Society in Washington DC. He has also served as Commissioner for the City and County of San Francisco’s Social Services Department. He was Director and Treasurer of the San Francisco Education Fund and the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library and served on Stanford University’s Institute for International Studies Advisory Board, as well as Grameen Foundation USA's Philippine Advisory Council.

Amy Lung has been in senior leadership roles in telecom and digital services for 30 years, covering 17 markets globally, prior to her retirement in 2019. Primarily based in Hong Kong her career paths covered HKTCSL, Pacific Group Asia Link and Hutchison Telecom International, eventually leading the revolution in mobile 3G to 5G data era and steering convergence of telecommunications and internet services to launching multiple lifestyle behavioural changing services from web1.0 to web3.0.

During her 19 years services in Hutchison, she contributed to a number of breakthrough partnerships with renowned device vendors promoting new norm for smartphone adoption. In the period, she also served as an advisor for several successful venture funds to formulate new Go-to-market models with digital players Google, Facebook, Skype etc, which benefited the Group’s 3G unique service bundling position across 3 global markets. She also spear-headed a number of global projects to build Hut MVNO/A business, Global Roaming Alliance (Vodafone and Connexus) and Global Enterprise Alliance (VimpelCom and Telefonica). She led numerous successful initiatives to fuel the mobile data boom in different markets and steer new business models locally and across the globe.

Amy joined the Hutchison International group in 2001 as Director of Operations overseeing the Group’s development of 3G rollout businesses in Europe and Asia, representing the Group to steer 5-year business plan and budget operating plan, formation of management and building of operational strategies in meeting the budgeted results. Amy was later appointed as the Director of Global Device and Partnership Development, who represented the Group to secure partnerships with Apple, Samsung and major vendors and renowned digital services partners such as Spotify, Zoom, Google and Facebook etc. Amy was also appointed as the Managing Director of HK Mobile from 2008-2016 for the merger IPO for fixed and mobile business in HK stock market. In 2016, Amy took up the role to reform the business expansion in Asia focusing in Indonesia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Prior to her retirement in 2019, she was stationed three years in Vietnam to complete the formation of JSC and 4G
licence awarded from the government, while steering the network 2G to 4G upgrade plan, successful relaunch of the Vietnamobile brand and distribution network to 42 provinces.

Amy is currently serving as an advisor to a number of start-up and mid-stage companies across the spectrum of web 3 metaverse, enterprise SAAS CRM/Loyalty platform, telecom/MVNA IoT private network, digital Fintech and EV charging technology projects facilitating the companies in fund raising strategy, business planning, financial control, GTM models, management and operation team formation and international expansion. Amy has been serving PolyU as a Council/Court member for 9 years, and as a member in the PolyU Finance and Investment committee, and brand committee. She is currently serving as an advisor and a member of the Board of Directors of the PolyU Enterprise fund and CityU tech 360 fund.

Amy obtained an MBA in Newport University with major in Quality Management and Business Re-engineering.
