At Give2Asia, we believe that natural hazards do not have to lead to disasters. As a warming planet continues to create climate events that are increasing in frequency and intensity, communities throughout Asia and the Pacific must be better prepared to face the onslaught of catastrophes with resilience. Give2Asia’s programming is structured with holistic approaches in mind, so projects are both sustainable and scalable across mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, and Taiwan. Our work supports local community‑based organizations through:

• Conducting local risk assessments to identify and address specific vulnerabilities.
• Developing contingency plans tailored to regional conditions.
• Establishing and strengthening community‑based disaster preparedness groups that take local ownership of resilience.
• Implementing disaster mitigation efforts, such as tree planting, reinforcing infrastructure (e.g., disaster‑resilient buildings), and defining evacuation routes and plans.
• Conducting regular disaster drills, increasing community readiness and response speed.
• Facilitating ongoing technical capacity building, including training, skill updates, and stakeholder networking at the local level.
• Strategically pre‑positioning funds to enable rapid distribution as soon as disasters strike—ensuring immediate deployment when every moment counts.

Your contribution to this fund goes directly to programs within our preparedness network in disaster‑prone areas, enabling both long‑term resilience and swift action when emergencies occur.
