Driving Innovation Through Donor-Advised Giving

The Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE) is based in Beijing, China. Since its establishment in 2006, IPE has dedicated itself to collecting, collating and analyzing public and private environmental information to build a comprehensive database: Blue Map.
Highlights:
- With the support of Give2Asia, Blue Map has undergone multiple rounds of upgrades.
- Building on its environmental information disclosure system and big data analytics capabilities, Blue Map has developed a Carbon Index to help:
- Provinces, cities, and enterprises raise their emission reduction ambitions
- Clarify decarbonization pathways
- Formulate concrete and effective mitigation plans aimed at decoupling carbon emissions from economic growth
- The platform also promotes:
- Multi-stakeholder engagement in climate governance
- Public participation in climate action
- Accountability of key actors for their climate actions
By cooperating with companies, government, NGOs, research organizations, and other stakeholders; leveraging the power of a wide range of enterprises, IPE is working to promote environmental information disclosure and improve environmental governance mechanisms.
