Tamagawa Seigakuin is an all-girls junior and senior high school on the western edge of Tokyo, Japan. With a liberal arts curriculum emphasizing a Christian worldview, the school is committed to raising up young Japanese women who have the passion and resource to change the world. In 1950, founder Rev. Shigetoshi Taniguchi stated, “It will be the goodness and strength of women that will build a new Japan.” Now even more in this age with an emphasis on the rights and abilities of women, students are challenged to make a positive contribution and meaningful difference in their world. With a three prong emphasis on education for women, international education and volunteer service, Tama Sei has seen increasing numbers of graduates go into the fields of medicine, health care, social services, and international relations. Funds received through Give2Asia will be used to promote a three pronged educational emphasis on 1) education for women 2) international education and 3) experiential education through volunteer service.
