Our Mission

To inspire personal responsibility and active involvement of the people of Bhutan in the conservation of the Kingdom’s environment through, Education, Community Engagement and Sustainable Livelihood Opportunities.

The Need

Enhance the conservation of threatened species, biodiversity, and landscapes to build a climate-resilient society using nature-based solutions. Enhance sustainable financing mechanisms to support operation and conservation. Promote a knowledge-based policy interface.

The Solution

RSPN’s work revolves around six focus conservation areas: (1) Species and habitats, (2) Wetlands and freshwater, (3) Climate change adaptation and resilience, (4) Waste and pollution, (5) Sustainable livelihoods, and (6) Environmental education

Our Impact

RSPN has instituted the Black-necked Crane festival, established Black-necked Crane Education Center, secured nine waste compactor trucks and delivered them to municipalities, established the White-bellied Heron Conservation Center, and introduced an environmental science curriculum for schools.
