Our Mission

To inspire Filipino children to discover the self, community and environment.

The Need

Museo Pambata fulfills the need for Cultural awareness (local and international) encouraging a love for art and culture and providing education, art, and culture access to underserved children.

The Solution

Sponsoring underserved children for their access to arts, culture, and education. Creating safe spaces for them with interactive museum exhibits. Curating and developing events for the young minds to grow their love and appreciation to arts and culture.

Our Impact

Museo Pambata has welcomed millions of children since 1993. The museum is awarded the Pearl Anniversary Reading Advocacy Award “For inspiring the creation of new children’s museums in the Philippines and in Asia.” Reading Association of the Philippines, 2000.

Since 1993, the Museo has been championing Filipino childhood and pioneering cultural education through the five senses.

The space is the dream come true of Nina Lim-Yuson, an early childhood educator and mother. Inspired by the Boston Children’s Museum, she wished for a similar place back home where Filipino youths can learn and have fun at the same time.

Former Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary, Estefania Aldaba-Lim shared this dream with her, and together, they brought the museum to life — providing children with their own place in the cultural narrative of Manila.
