Local Needs in Vietnam

LIN Center for Community Development is a Vietnamese, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization established in 2009 to help local people address local needs. We seek to improve the quality of life of people, especially the marginalized groups in Vietnam by serving the local philanthropists (nonprofit organizations, volunteers, and donors) with our services of engaging people, providing resources, building capacity, and raising awareness about philanthropy and civil society’s needs.

LIN currently has a network of more than 380 local nonprofit organizations, nearly 200 volunteers, and successfully organizes many programs for networking, capacity building, and support of local nonprofit organizations. LIN successfully built philoinhuan.org Website, an online portal that provides information on nonprofit activities in the South of Viet Nam and connects volunteers and businesses with nonprofit organizations. The Narrow the Gap Community Program, launched by LIN in 2009, has supported 121 community development projects to help more than 95,000 people.
