Lamdon School is a community owned school in Leh, Ladakh India established in 1973 by five concerned and visionary Ladakhis who realised the significance of education for development of Ladakh. Education is the best investment for future of Ladakh because it is the passport to young generations to excel in future. Ladakh School provides quality education to underprivileged children so that they can have a future by choice not by chance. With the mission to ensure that every student becomes an asset for their society, country and the world to address local and global challenges, Lamdon School strategically focuses on 6Cs — Competence, Confidence, Collaboration, Connection, Compassion and Contributions — to ensure holistic development of students. The school’s objectives are to offer holistic educational programmes that develop student’s mind, heart, hands, and health, maintain the highest academic standards, while continuing commitment to an inclusive admissions policy, offer an exciting range of opportunities and experiences both in and beyond the classroom, with a particular focus on service and global citizenship, develop the attributes of self-discipline, positive self-image, collaborative working style, spirit of adventure and leadership and make students aware and appreciative of their background, history, culture and traditions, whilst being open to other cultures and alternative views of the world.
