Our Mission

To work with government, community and other stakeholders, to empower vulnerable children and youth to achieve their own right to a quality education through innovative approaches.

The Need

KAPE has a strong focus on agency efforts on Covid-19 Response, early grade literacy, technology in education, Inclusive education, community outreach and engagement, youth development, life skills, school leadership and teacher training, and most importantly, charter school development.

The Solution

KAPE has operated 20 programs and projects including BfC, CERRP, CTSP, GEI, GPE3-PE, HCC, KYLA, LSLAG, NGPRC, NGS, PC, QLE, REACH, SEEK, TIGER, TRAC, USE-SDP2, YEP, Digital Literacy Program and Khmer Digital Literacy Program.

Our Impact

KAPE has succeeded in diversifying its penetration of various technical subsectors, as per its strategic planning, and first invested primarily in only two subsectors, namely Teacher Development and Inclusive Education.

Kampuchea Action to Promote Education (KAPE) is the largest local NGO in the education sector in Cambodia.  A nonprofit organization implementing projects and research at all levels of the education sector in Cambodia, with beneficiaries in primary schools, secondary schools, and tertiary programs. Currently, direct beneficiaries number well over 71,000 children and 1,650 school directors and teachers at 165 schools across 13 provinces. They enjoy a long-term partnership and close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), international organizations, and local education partners.
