The Foundation for Agrarian Reform Cooperatives in Mindanao (FARMCOOP) is a grassroots not-for-profit organization engaged in organizing and providing support services to farmers’ cooperatives. Their mission is to build resilient communities through sustainable agri-based enterprise and cooperative effort. FARMCOOP believes that farmers’ cooperatives have a special role in society to serve as effective vehicles in empowering their communities. Cooperative good governance had been one of the core programs of FARMCOOP and it had provided need-based training to cooperatives to help them develop appropriate management systems, establish functional and effective organizational structure, create applicable policies with effective enforcement, and gain leadership skills to ensure participatory decision making. Since 1995, FARMOOP had provided farm technical support, market linkage, legal consultancy, cooperative empowerment, and institutional development to more than 6,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries, small farmers, and indigenous peoples of farmer cooperatives farming over 37,000 acres of land in Mindanao.Donate Now
