Our Mission
To enable people to take responsibility for the situation of the deprived Indian child and motivate them to seek resolution. To make people discover their potential for action and change. To enable peoples’ collectives and movements to protect and honour the rights of India’s children.The Need
India’s children battle some of the worst circumstances in the world. 33 million child labourers go to work instead of school. 1 of 3 child brides in the world is from India. 2 of 3 child deaths, below the age of 5, are caused by malnutrition. 2 of 5 children do not receive complete immunization.The Solution
CRY addresses children’s critical needs by working towards protecting them from child marriage and child labour by ensuring they continue going to school, reducing malnourishment as well as India’s IMR, CMR, and MMR, engaging with the children to build their awareness on child rights.Our Impact
CRY has impacted the lives of over 3 million children in the last 43 years. In 2020 to 2021, 66,1752 children were reached. 80% of these children was sent to school, 86% was saved from malnutrition, 99% young girls was protected from child marriage in all the CRY project areas.
