Low-income families and migrant workers are the most vulnerable groups in Singapore now. We have 2 dormitories which house 40,000 migrant workers on blue collar jobs. The dorms have active COVID19 clusters and the new cases are escalating despite the government’s best efforts to contain and quarantine. They are currently being accommodated in open multi-storied parking lots with makeshift beds, and medical equipment.
Every bit of support is needed for this population as well as our elderly, since Singapore is an aging nation with a top-heavy population pyramid. Our current funding priorities in Singapore include:
