OUR MISSION
To ensure that children and young adults in the Mekong Sub-Region, affected by inequality, grow up to be healthy and have access to quality education and better employment opportunities. This enables them to live empowered and self-determined lives as equal and active members of society, with the potential to become responsible leaders of change.
STRATEGY
They design, implement and partner to support interventions for children and young adults in Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Thailand by addressing current and future needs by pursuing the following strategic goals:
- Building Schools & Other Educational Infrastructure
- Improving Access to Basic Education
- Improving Quality of Education
- Providing Skills Training to Enhance Employability
- Supporting Youth Development and Empowerment
- Developing Future Leaders, Specialists and Entrepreneurs
- Supporting Basic and Essential Health Care

- Substance Abuse & Addiction

- Provide life-saving operations for children through our Children’s Medical Fund
- Support training for youth and young adults about drug addiction, sex education
and family planning - Support basic health and hygiene training for primary students in Myanmar and
Cambodia
BASIC EDUCATION: Aims to increase access to quality education.
- Build schools and boarding houses to provide access to education
- Provide high school scholarships for Laotian, Cambodian, Myanmar or Thai students
- Provide school stationery
HIGHER EDUCATION: Aims to produce leaders and specialists who work towards the development of their country.
- Provide university scholarships for Myanmar, Laotian or Cambodian students
- Support our vocational centers for Myanmar migrant youth
- Support our further study programs in Myanmar
Child’s Dream was established in 2003 with the vision to empower children, youth and young adults to responsibly shape their communities. They achieve this by improving health and education for sustainable development in Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia and Thailand.
With the Health and Basic Education projects they aim to build a solid foundation in rural and impoverished communities for their long-term progress. Their Higher Education projects aim to create a new generation of responsible leaders and specialists who strongly contribute toward their country’s sustainable development.
