Community Health, Housing and Social Education (CHHASE) is established in promotion of women empowerment, sustainable livelihood, child right & welfare, under privileged children education, care and support to neglected elders, disaster recovery & management and environmental issues for the marginalized and deprived sections of the community. CHHASE strongly believe inter connected projects will bring overall development.

CHHASE India is situated in Pannur, a rural village, 50kms away from Chennai.

All services are provided free of cost to the beneficiaries. Since its inception 19 years ago, CHHASE has eradicated child labor in 42 villages of Thiruvallur district. They have educated and enhanced education of over 13,500 under privileged & tribal children, given shelter with dignity to more than 57 destitute elders and 78 neglected elders are provided with monthly groceries at their door step monthly. CHHASE provided vocational skills and facilitated employment for more than 12,300 rural youth & poor women and planted 1.65 lakh trees. The organization received Doctor of Social Works awarded by International Peace University, Germany, Star Achievers and The Peaks Award by National Integrity Cultural Academy and Jana Seva Award by Jana Patrikai.

During the last 18 years, CHHASE has also worked directly on relief and rehabilitation for a sequence of disasters such as the monsoon floods in India.

COVID-19 Response: CHHASE India is seeking your support to respond to the COVID-19 crisis through providing food rations and safety kits for 12,000 very poor families & wage workers (below poverty line) in Tamil Nadu State.
