Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) is an international non-governmental organisation, founded in 2004, with a vision to lift the community of former dumpsite in Cambodia’s capital city out of poverty and into hope and possibility through the provision of education. They believe that through quality education and leadership, one child has the potential to lift an entire family out of poverty and a generation of educated children has the power to change a society.

CCF has developed a robust poverty reduction and community development model based on three key principles:

  1. Access to quality education for those who have fallen outside the public school system is critical for breaking the generational cycle of poverty.
  2. Removing barriers to education that keep children out of school, such as offsetting the loss of earnings of child labour, addressing urgent food needs, clean water, healthcare, tackling entrenched gender inequality issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking, is vital to ensure that ‘access to quality education’ is most effective.
  3. If children are to prosper, their families must be supported. CCF spends a great deal of time and energy in creating a community environment around the children which is safe, caring and nurturing, by re-instilling pride, integrity and respect into community.
