Senior Accountant

Give2Asia is seeking an experienced senior accounting professional to be part of the finance and administration team.


Reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Administration (VPFA), the Senior Accountant is responsible for general ledger management and overseeing routine accounting operations for the organization and the entities for which it provides accounting support. Responsibilities include GL reconciliations, journal entries, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end close. Additional responsibilities include monitoring program expenses according to budgets and organization cash flow, assisting in preparing financial statements and annual audit. Support the VPFA with other duties and special projects.


Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable and general ledger adjustments
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget and accounting
Responsible for all accounting functions up to and including preparation of financial statements
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close along with timely reporting of all monthly financial information
Support the VPFA
Manage the daily activities of the accounting department
Meet financial accounting objectives and perform other duties as assigned
Support Program staff in their grant-making process.


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance/Business Administration
Minimum of five years of experience in broad accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets
Oracle NetSuite experience, a plus
Nonprofit experience preferred
Understanding of fund accounting
Proven knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), practices, standards, laws and regulations
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and accounting software, with advanced working knowledge of Excel
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
Good verbal and written communication skills


This is a full-time remote position based in the US. Give2Asia is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. Applicants from other US locations are welcome to apply.

Salary offered: US$75,000 annual
