Our Mission

ASrid is an intermediary organization that focuses on all rare and intractable diseases. We work with patients and other multi-stakeholders to generate evidence for policy and other recommendations, support drug development, and increase public awareness.

The Need

For patients with rare diseases and their families, we believe the following needs need to be identified: quality of life, policy advocacy, multi-stakeholder global collaboration, new diagnostic and treatment methods, employment support, and mental health care.

The Solution

Surveys and research for PRO utilization (qualitative and quantitative), Registry Management, Patient/patient association collaboration, Patient needs survey (R&D, social welfare), Workshop/portal site management, Social awareness campaign development, Global collaboration, Other.

Our Impact

ASrid has received several national and international academic awards for rare disease patient research. In addition, as an intermediary organization, ASrid actively collaborates with multi-stakeholders and, as the RDD Japan office, has successfully connected communities throughout Japan.
