Our Mission
APIIS- Goducate Academy aims to uplift literacy and reading in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao by empowering mothers from different communities.The Need
Based on the latest data by the World Bank, it is estimated that 91% of Filipino children in the late primary age are "not proficient in reading." Community Hubs with studio-produced videos and quality teaching materials are necessary for partnership with the mothers in the community.The Solution
APIIS aims to alleviate learning poverty by focusing on reading and literacy programs using transferable methods like studio-produced videos and quality worksheets. The educational platform aims to empower Filipino mothers to facilitate their child's learning in the hub and at home.Our Impact
To date, APIIS has 1,135 studio-produced videos and quality teaching materials ready to be used by and for the children. They have well-trained, experienced teachers and volunteers who will train the mothers in the community.
