Ms. Weili Dai is the only woman co-founder of a global semiconductor company and one of the leading and most-recognized woman business leaders in the world today. As co-founder of Marvell Technology Group, one of the top five fabless semiconductor companies in the world, Ms. Dai has been a cornerstone of Marvell’s success since it began in 1995.

Ms. Dai’s business acumen, strategic thinking, product leadership and endless passion and personal network have contributed greatly to Marvell’s fast rise to success. She has also become a driving force in expanding access to technology in the developing world and an ambassador of opportunity between the US and China, particularly in the arenas of education and green technology. Ms. Dai has become a powerful advocate for the better use of technology to improve the human condition.

Ms. Dai has made a strong personal commitment to philanthropy and is the prime mover behind many of Marvell’s corporate civic engagements, including driving the One Laptop per Child program and spearheading the company’s significant donations to hunger relief and disaster recovery in Asia. Ms. Dai has made her passion a life-long focus on education, personally supporting schools and classrooms at every grade level. In recognition of her family’s major gift to the college, the University of California at Berkeley has named Sutardja Dai Hall in their honor. Sutardja Dai Hall is home to the world-reknown Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS), which brings leading experts together to explore new and novel ways to use technology to serve humankind.
