Director, Union Square Investment Company
Ms. Schilling is a co-founder of the Union Square Investment Company with her husband Alexander H. Schilling. Union Square Investment Company is an investment manager.
Since the 1980s, Ms. Schilling has been actively involved in a number of civic and advisory groups that address issues concerning small business owners, woman- and Asian-owned businesses, and state and local development. In addition to being the first woman president of the Asian Business League of San Francisco, she was formerly vice chairman of the San Francisco Economic Development Corp. and director of the State of California Small Business Advisory Board. She has also been a member of the SF Chamber of Commerce, California Council to Promote Business Ownership by Women, the Advisory Council on Small Business and Agriculture of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and the Greater Market Street Development Association. She is currently a member of the Board of the Bay Area Council, and was a director of Golden West Financial, which was publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
Currently, Ms Schilling is a member of the Board of Regents of the University of California, a Board member of Give2Asia and the Committee of 100.
Ms. Schilling holds a B.A. in both Economics and Political Science from U.C. Berkeley and a Master’s degree in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona.
