Rong plays a crucial leadership role in our China office managing, developing and developing programs; managing human resource, finance and logistics, overseeing China team; representing Give2Asia with grantees and donors in China raising our visibility and promoting our services. She is responsible for ensuring the China team provides excellent and individualized service to our grantees and donors.
Prior to joining Give2Asia, Rong served as the Research Fellow and Assistant to Director of Institute of American Studies, China Academy of Social Sciences, where she conduced academic and policy-oriented research on Sino-US relations, and managed external/international exchange and cooperation programs. She also served as Assistant to China Program Director of the Asia Foundation Beijing Office, assisting the China Program Director on programming and served as a journalist, magazine editor, and university teacher.
Rong received her master’s degree in law from Peking University; and she received training for management of public affairs from George Washington University as a Ford Fellow.
