Tonya receieved a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from UC Berkeley, where she was engaged in a variety of community service initiatives. Most notably, she served with Cal Corps Public Service Center for one year as co-director of a service-learning program for incoming freshmen. Driven to continue working with non-profits after graduation, Tonya took on a development internship with the Chez Panisse Foundation. Prior to joining Give2Asia, she worked as an office administrator at a private family foundation in San Francisco where she helped establish and streamline operational procedure.
