Irma Gogiashvili, Program Associate
Irma joined Give2Aia in January 2013. She was born and raised in Georgia (Former USSR) and during the political instability in the country in 1990s, she worked many years in several international organizations promoting democratic processes in Eastern Europe. Her professional portfolio is as diverse as her life experiences. After moving to the United States, She worked in Silicon Valley for several years as a Contracts and Business Analyst, and took a year off to work on independent film production in Bangladesh. Prior to joining Give2Asia, Irma worked as a Summer Associate in 2012 with Books for Asia program with The Asia Foundation – founding organization of Give2Asia. She also worked briefly in Program Support Unit in The Asia Foundation’s Afghanistan office.
Irma has completed her BA in French Language from Tbilisi Ilia Chavchavadze State University of Language and Culture, and MA in International Policy Studies from Monterey Institute of International Studies. She loves to travel and considers herself a global citizen. She is also a published author of several articles, blogs, and photo essays that appeared in major Georgian journals.
In addition to English, Irma is fluent in Russian and Georgian Languages, speaks French, and has a limited knowledge of Spanish and Serbian.
