DCH Animal Adoptions

DCH Animal Adoptions is a volunteer rescue charity saving dogs, cats and horses from death row in council pounds and shelters. Operating throughout NSW, Australia, DCH is entirely volunteer run and has been established since 2005. Liminal Lines

Liminal Lines is a nonprofit organization in Melbourne, Australia, which was incorporated in 2004 and established as a public benevolent institution in 2006. The core business of this group of highly trained and appropriately skilled artists, is utilizing the arts with young women in and leaving custody or at risk of entering the juvenile justice system. Although working with largely creative rather than therapeutic modeling, the program offers an alternative form of engagement of one-on-one counseling that is appropriate for the age group. In the last two years, Liminal Lines has also run programs with young men in custody (2004), young people in disadvantaged schools (2004), young people on justice and protective orders in the community (southern region, 2005), young women who are survivors of sexual assault (ECASA, 2004/05) and continued artwork on an outreach basis in regional/remote Victoria with indigenous young women post-release (2005/2006). Organ Donation New Zealand

The Donor Coordination service was established in 1987 at the time when heart transplantation commenced at Green Lane Hospital. Today this national service is known as Organ Donation New Zealand. Its primary responsibility is to coordinate the donation of organs and tissues from deceased donors in New Zealand for transplant units in New Zealand and sometimes Australia and for tissue banks in New Zealand. The donor coordinators provide information and ongoing support for those families who have generously donated organs or tissues. Organ Donation New Zealand works with health professionals throughout New Zealand to ensure that there are nationally consistent and excellent processes for donation.
