Nepal Disaster Response: Please Support Fire Victims
May 15, 2012. Massive fire in six wards of Aurahi village, Siraha district in eastern Nepal plains has reduced 1,500 houses into ashes making almost 6,500 people homeless. Women and children are suffering the most, as they are struggling to find clothes to wear, food to eat and shelter to rest. With no more belongings left, fire victims are spending day and night under the open sky. Being in a poor neighborhood, they are begging alms to meet their daily requirements. Despite token assistance from different quarters, they are struggling for the most essential things. A delay in extending help to them can only deteriorate their situation further. Therefore, we extend our cordial request to all Trusts, Institutions, Associations, Individuals and Organizations to kindly extend help to the fire victims through us (Rural Community Development Service Council - RCDSC).
