 The Kythe Philippines Child Life Program Fund aims to support at least 8,000 indigent Filipino pediatric patients who are trying to cope with chronic illness like cancer, heart and kidney ailments in its 11 partner-hospitals nationwide. The Fund will enable Kythe to provide pediatric patients the following services ; Preparation for medical procedures, Education about the illness, Therapeutic play, Assistance during medical procedures, Lend emotional support to parents and their siblings and Spiritual care and support (PETALS).
The Fund will also enable Kythe to provide further training to medical teams in its 11 partner-hospitals on how to provide psychosocial support to pediatric patients and their families. The ultimate goal of Kythe Philippines is to improve the pediatric patient’s quality of life and to inspire hope thru the Child Life Program. |
