Organ Donation New Zealand
The Donor Coordination service was established in 1987 at the time when heart transplantation commenced at Green Lane Hospital. Today this national service is known as Organ Donation New Zealand. Its primary responsibility is to coordinate the donation of organs and tissues from deceased donors in New Zealand for transplant units in New Zealand and sometimes Australia and for tissue banks in New Zealand. The donor coordinators provide information and ongoing support for those families who have generously donated organs or tissues. Organ Donation New Zealand works with health professionals throughout New Zealand to ensure that there are nationally consistent and excellent processes for donation. OUTREACH was established in May 1993 as to scale-up the concept of "Participatory Approaches in Rural Development especially, participatory approach in watershed among developmental practitioner particularly Government. For sustainable development of the client community, it has given importance as well as ensured impact people's participation in the programs - from situation assessment to planning to implementation to monitoring and evaluation. It strongly believes and advocates the capacity building of the community for ensuring the sustainabilitiy of the interventions even after the project life span. Capacity of all stake holders needs to planned and executed on all needed subject at all needed time.
To reinforce/spread its noble concepts and approaches among its partners and clients it has also established eleven field procet centers in three southern states of our country - Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and tamil Nadu, on the principle of 'seeing is believing'.
