Development and Education Programme for Daughters and Communities (DEPDC)

DEPDC is a non-profit community-based NGO working in Thailand to prevent the trafficking of children and women into the sex industry or other exploitive labor situations.

It offers free education, vocational training and full-time accommodations for young girls and boys in an effort to achieve these goals. DEPDC also runs several other projects aimed at the prevention of trafficking and the protection of child rights in the region: an emergency shelter for abused or abandoned children, care and repatriation for girls who have left commercial sex work, a youth leadership program spanning six countries, and trainings for undocumented migrants and indigenous people.
