Established in 1859, Ateneo de Manila University is one of the Philippines’ leading institutions of higher learning. The Health Unit of Ateneo Graduate School of Business builds on the strongly held tradition of the Ateneo de Manila University of breaking new ground to meet the challenges of nation-building through excellence in teaching, research, and publication. Its singular mission is to direct men and women in healthcare professions toward effectively addressing systemic healthcare management issues and problems in the Philippines brought about by a fragmented and narrow view of health.
The Health Unit carries out its mission through a three-pronged education initiative, including A) Graduate Degree Programs, B) Public Health and Society Programs, and C) Innovations in Health Systems Management. Complemented by cutting-edge research initiatives on health, these education programs aim to engender a systemic understanding of health, stimulate innovative approaches to the challenges of health in society, and produce active social catalysts and leaders for health.
