Foundation for International School of Asia, Karuizawa (ISAK) aims to establish a three-year, coeducational, English language boarding high school in Karuizawa, Nagano prefecture, Japan, by September 2013. The school’s mission is “to develop transformational leaders who explore new frontiers in service of the greater good for Asia and beyond.” We want our graduates to be leaders who are 1) self-aware and growth-oriented; 2) respectful, collaborative, and creative; and 3) passionate about taking action in service to others. Since 2010, we have been offering a condensed version of the “ISAK experience” during a 2-week residential summer school. For both the high school and the summer school, we seek to offer full and partial scholarships based on need and merit to at least 20% of our student body.
