The National Council of Women’s Organisations was established in 1964. The mission of the organization is to expedite the sustained advancement of women, to secure legislation supporting women’s rights, and to promote the participation of women in all societal sectors and leadership. It also works with many women’s shelters to assist them with the rehabilitation of survivors of domestic violence.
